4. Advice & Inspiration

1. Matter of the heart: animal welfare

Animal welfare is very important to us, which is why we consciously work with wool suppliers from New Zealand whose sheep are not subjected to the painful mulesing process.

2. The mulesing process

Mulesing has been banned in New Zealand since 2018. Sheep farmers try to avoid mulesing by taking better care of their animals. If a sheep is nevertheless infested with fly maggots, attempts are made to protect them from infection by isolating them and using disinfectants.

3. Our decision

Our decision to use mulesing-free wool is part of our commitment to sustainable production and animal welfare.

We want to ensure that not only our carpets meet the highest quality standards, but also that the living conditions of the sheep are respected.

Thank you for addressing this very important topic and for the trust you have placed in our products.

We hope that you appreciate our hand-woven rugs as much as the philosophy behind their manufacture.
