PAULIG: A MODERN FAMILY BUSINESS ACROSS FIVE CONTINENTS
In 1750, Johann Christian Paulig, a skilled master weaver, laid the foundation for what is today PAULIG Teppichweberei GmbH. From generation to generation, the family has remained loyal to the textile trade. After World War II, Willi Paulig led the family's relocation to Lower Franconia. In 1945, with just five looms, he founded his weaving mill in the Franckenstein family’s castle in Ullstadt, where the first rag rugs made from parachute silk were produced.
In 2020, PAULIG celebrated its 75th company anniversary. The father-daughter duo, Theresa and Thomas Paulig, form a well-coordinated team that combines tradition and experience with innovative approaches. Their mission: a future-oriented strategy to continue the success story of the PAULIG family business for generations to come.
