INNTAL HANDWEBEREI – TRADITION AND CRAFTSMANSHIP SINCE 1945

The INNTAL HANDWEBEREI was founded in 1945 in Rosenheim – a visionary endeavor by the grandfather of the current owner, started in a time of reconstruction. With passion and artisanal precision, the business continuously evolved and underwent several expansions over the years. A major milestone was reached in 1965 with the opening of a store in the heart of Munich’s city center, bringing its exquisite carpets to a wider audience.

Craftsmanship and tradition remain at the heart of INNTAL HANDWEBEREI to this day. As a certified master workshop, the weaving mill is still family-owned and is now run with great expertise and dedication by master weaver Werner Rechenauer, representing the third generation of the family.

The company’s headquarters are now located in Raubling / Pfraundorf and reflect a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation – a place where each piece is created with love and precision.

PAULIG SINCE 1750 – TRADITIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP FOR OVER 270 YEARS

In 1750, master cloth maker Johann Christian Paulig founded the company in Sommerfeld, Brandenburg – a business that still stands for the highest quality and craftsmanship today. What once began with the production of fabrics has, over generations, evolved into a manufactory dedicated to tradition and handcraft.

A PAULIG carpet is the result of a completely handcrafted process: from shearing the sheep to spinning and dyeing the wool, and finally weaving and knotting – every step is carried out with the utmost care. This consistent control of the entire production process ensures that only the finest carpets bear the PAULIG name.

Today, the company is based in Schwarzach am Main and is already run by the 9th generation of the family. This long-standing family tradition is not only a symbol of continuity but also of the dedication with which the company’s values and artisanal heritage are preserved and continuously refined.

FOCUS ON THE DESIGN TEAM

What defines the profession of a carpet designer? The interplay of idea, material, color, technique, and application must work perfectly to create a visually and qualitatively superior carpet. Creativity, of course, takes top priority – but it is always accompanied by optimal production and economic conditions, as well as a keen eye for contemporary trends. With this approach, we have been a well-coordinated team in design for many years, with Antje Reschwamm, Liane Neubert, and Petra Both. Our designers take care of your wishes. With a creative spirit and considering modern manufacturing techniques and current trends, they ensure a visually appealing and high-quality end result in carpet production.
